Theo dự đoán của nhiều người, 2 nhân vật bí ẩn đi phía sau cha con Kratos chính là anh em Brokkr và Sindri, cặp thợ rèn nổi tiếng trong thần thoại Bắc Âu. Trong truyền thuyết, Brokkr và Sindri chính là người đã rèn ra búa sét Mjölnir huyền thoại của thần Thor. Con trong God of War 2018, bộ đôi này cũng là người đã trợ giúp đắc lực cho cha con Kratos. Mỗi khi cần nâng cấp vũ khí, áo giáp hay tạo ra vật phẩm mới, Brokkr và Sindri luôn sẵn lòng giúp đỡ.

Mặc dù giả thiết trên nghe rất thuyết phục, tuy nhiên một vấn đề là mực độ thật giả của bức ảnh trên chưa được kiểm chứng. Nhiều người cho rằng, đây chỉ là một sản phẩm fanart mà thôi.

Thực tế cho thấy độ tin cậy của bản thiết kế này vẫn còn là một dấu hỏi lớn. Thực hư của kịch bản và những gì sẽ xảy ra trong "God of War 5" đến giờ vẫn còn là ẩn số. Để biết được câu trả lời chính xác nhất, có lẽ chúng ta sẽ cần thêm thời gian để thẩm định.
